Conservative Christian Center hosts 4th Movie of 2017 featuring Kirk Cameron in Monumental: in search of America’s Treasure on Saturday Nov. 18 at 1 PM
You are invited to join us for the final movie of the Conservative Christian Center for 2017 today at 1 PM (Saturday, Nov. 18), which will be held at a Dallastown private residence. The movie is Monumental – in Search of America’s Treasure. The trailer (above and HERE) shows President Ronald Reagan introducing the movie theme, the story of America’s beginning as an idea. This is an unabashedly pro-America, pro-Christian film. There is no admission charge and you may bring a snack, a friend or your whole family with you (limit: 12 seats).
The “home movie” is the third in the series and once again hosted by Conservative Christian Center York County Board Member and Program Director Monica Seitz. You may reserve your place at the movie – and we will then provide you her home address (unless we have more than a dozen YES responses – that’s her seating limit which we did reach for the last movie). Write to RSVP@ConservativeChristianCenter.org and be sure to provide your name, how many seats you want to reserve, and your phone number. Monica or another board member will immediately let you know if we have room for you and the Dallastown residence address for the movie. Her Dallastown residence is off Rt. 74.
Conservative Christian Center has hosted two home movies and has promoted attendance at one theater movie so far during the final months of 2017.
Those movies include God’s Not Dead 1 and 2 at Monica’s (with her co-host, husband Dennis’) residence, and last weekend at the movie theater near the North Hanover Mall, Let There Be Light, produced by Sean Hannity and directed by Kevin Sorbo, who is also the star of the movie.
Monumental will be our last offering for this year. It is a wonderful history lesson told by Kirk Cameron, who has starred in other very good Christian-family friendly movies. See details below and/or watch the movie trailer above
Our home movie series is free, giving you the opportunity to socialize with and watch good pro-America, pro-Christian movies with like-minded new friends. We strongly urge you to consider hosting a home-movie, which we would advertise in this space (our website, e-newsletter and Facebook page) without giving out your address to anyone except those who are confirmed to attend and who fit the attendance limit you establish.
Here’s what we can tell you about Monumental (from their website).
Monumental: in Search of America’s Treasurer.
Celebrate Faith. Monumental is the story of America’s beginnings. Presented, produced, and starring Kirk Cameron, the 90-minute true story follows this father of six across Europe and the U.S. as he seeks to discover America’s true “national treasure” – the people, places, and principles that made America the freest, most prosperous and generous nation the world has ever known.
Monumental is heralded as “inspiring,” “beautifully executed,” “powerful,” and “one meant to teach.”
Long regarded as “the land of opportunity,” there’s no question the tiny band of religious outcasts who founded this country hit upon a formula for success that went way beyond what they could have imagined. How else can you explain the fact that they established a nation that has become the best example of civil, economic and religious liberty the world has ever known?
What formula did they discover? What motivated them to come here in the first place? More importantly, how can we apply these same foundational truths today?
Join this adventure to discover the true national treasure of America! Please reserve seating in advance. Our last movie showing God’s Not Dead 2, was at full capacity. Write to reserve your seat immediately. And let us know if any of these movies appeals to you enough to host a “home movie” event of your own (we’ll provide the movie and the movie promotion on our website, e-newsletter, Facebook page – and you provide the living room and a table for people who attend to put their after-movie snack for a social half hour). If you would like to lend your financial support to help us promote this ongoing movie promotion series, volunteer to serve as a host for a movie at your home in the future, or join on the “working group” to help us, write York@ConservativeChristiaCenter.org.
Please note: we really do need some extra funding for promotions. We have credible reports that our e-newsletters are branded as “spam” (the information in this post for example) and blocked from reaching all of our subscribers, or placed in their “advertising/promotion” subfolder where most people never look. This can only be overcome if we purchase a professional e-newsletter mailing service which would cost us money. The same is true on Facebook – our messages are blocked from reaching MOST of our subscribers there as well, unless we pay Facebook to reach our own subscribers. Yep, that’s the system. Like it or not, it is reality and we can best deal with it if we have some additional funding.
